Menands
Settled in 1843 by Louis Menand and has a population of just over three thousand. At its peak, Menands was home to amusement parks that surpassed Coney Island in visitors, who came to the parks for Trotter races, sack races, swimming exhibitions and much more, all seated along Menands Pleasure Island boardwalk of 4,000 feet! Menands has also been home to some of Americas first affordable housing, and one of the largest printers in the state, printing magazines that still exist today like Sports Illustrated.
Conveniently located in the town of Colonie, Menands is located nearby Mabey’s Self Storage Colonie location on Albany Street and Mabey’s movers have proudly helped Menands residents move all over the capital region, the state, and even the world. With professional movers available to all of Menands residents and a secure self-storage facility, Mabey’s Moving and Storage is proud to do business in Menands.
