Mabey's Moving and Storage began operations in 1957 when the founder, Robert Mabey started hauling apples. On weekends to earn additional income to support a young family, Mr. Mabey would move local household goods.
In 1961, Mabey's became an agent for Atlas Van Lines, Inc. This van line affiliation gave them the authority to handle and book moves within the 48 contiguous states. |

With the formation of Atlas Van Lines International, they now have the capabilities to handle moving on a global capacity.
Mr. Mabey's children grew up in and around the moving and storage industry. From the time they were old enough, Patricia, Steven and Laura worked as packers, helpers, or worked in the office as needed. Then in 1995, Mr. Mabey retired from the moving business and with a great deal of gratification, turned the company over to his children. Patricia is currently the President of the company. Steven is Vice President and supervises the company's fleet and facilities. Laura is the company Secretary-Treasurer and manages all the self storage sites.
